You Own Your Site — Here's How to Take It Anywhere

2 min read

You're never locked in

Most site builders rent you a website — stop paying and it vanishes, and you were never going to get the files anyway. We do it the other way. A clean way out is exactly why it's safe to start.

Download a full copy, any time

You can download your whole site as a ZIP from Settings → Export Site — on any plan, including while you're still on the free siteharbor.app address. Export is never gated behind a paid tier.

What's in the download:

  • Every page as an HTML file (open them directly in a browser — they work)
  • All your images in their original quality
  • The styling that makes it look the way it does
  • Your blog posts and portfolio items, if you have them
  • Your logo and any uploaded design assets
It's standard HTML/CSS/images — no proprietary format. Drop it on any host (Netlify, Vercel, S3, even your own server).

Take your domain with you, one click

If you registered your domain through us, your name is on the WHOIS record — you're the legal owner. To move it, open Settings → DNS → Transfer to another registrar and we hand you the transfer code. We don't block it, slow-walk it, or charge a fee; the registrar completes the transfer in about five days.

If you brought your own domain, it was always yours — point the DNS wherever you like.

What stays behind

A few things live in other tools and aren't in the ZIP: shop products and orders (those are in Stripe), contact-form messages (the Messages tab), and your change history (the Audit tab). You can export or copy those separately.
